Quay Foyer

ABOUT US

Many of our clients present complex & challenging problems: mental health issues, substance misuse, emotional & behavioural issues which in turn impact on themselves, their family and society and sometimes they find themselves within the criminal justice system.

The overall aim of the project is to help young people develop emotional strength, promote self awareness and the skills to develop their potential and motivation to become positive members of the local community.

Trustees

The Quay Foyer Charitable Trust was set up in 1999 to raise money to improve the lives of residents in the Quay Foyer.

The trust aims to do this by improving facilities and funding activities that provide a positive environment in which the residents can develop.

The Truist continues to raise funds to secure the positions of the training staff and for activities that develop creative ways to confront and tackle issues.

Partnerships

The Quay Foyer works in partnership with a number of organisations including The Poole Youth Housing Forum, to identify sources of move on accommodation for our residents.

The Quay Foyer is directly involved in local organisations and committees to ensure that the quality of its work is of the highest standard and that young people who are accommodated by us are given the best opportunities.

A partnership with our local community police sees a bi-annual pool tournament the 'Foyer Return' with residents of the foyer which aims to break down barriers and preconceptions.
