offer accommodation, support and training, offering
advice on many areas from housing, training, employment and
personal development.
Evidence
obtained from
our work shows many of the young people we work with are poorly
equipped to deal with the pressures placed upon them which
can result in an inability
to cope and lack of skills required to sustain day to day
living and social involvement. Current
needs determined by assisted self assessment using Housing
Federation’s initial assessment (outcomes star)
show the following issues (Taken from current year's throughput
of 70 clients) :
80% motivational, 65% self care, 65% money management, 88% no social network,
65% substance misuse, 80% poor physical health, 34% offending, 88.5% emotional/mental
health, 76% maintaining tenancy.
