Training
/ Community Learning Centre
Many
of our clients have chaotic lifestyles and find it difficult
to establish and sustain positive and productive foundations,
personally
and within
the community. Often needing support emotionally they
risk falling into persistent and enduring problems: poor mental
health,
long term unemployment and offending behaviour.

Our training department provide activities that promote:
- independence
- emotional
wellbeing
- cognitive
skills
- motivation
- trust
Previous projects
have shown clients benefit from activities that develop relationships
with others and build confidence. Those of our clients who suffer
from anxiety/depression have been more successful in an environment
they have come to trust so we prefer to deliver courses such
as Maths and English at our centre, helping them build their
confidence before referring them to external organisations.
Clients are encouraged to utilise new knowledge and skills to benefit: themselves, their
family, social
groups, colleagues, community.
To provide
these far reaching benefits our training department is reliant
on funding for its staff and provision of activities. We are
continually looking for funding to ensure that we always have
learning opportunities available for our young people. If you
can help look at our How You Can Help section.
